Who we are
The BBQ Company (“we”, “us”) provides BBQ catering across London and nationwide. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website.
What we collect
When you make a booking or message us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, venue address and postcode, event details (date, time, guest numbers, menu choices) and any dietary or allergy information you choose to share.
How we use it
We use your information to confirm and manage your booking, take payment and contact you about your event. Our lawful basis is taking steps to enter into, and to perform, a contract with you. Allergy information is used only to prepare your food safely, with your consent.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with the services that run our booking system: Cal.com (scheduling), Stripe (deposit payments) and our email provider (booking confirmations), plus our accountant, and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission. Some providers may process information outside the UK, with the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide our service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, normally up to six years. Enquiries that don’t become bookings are deleted within 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy to move elsewhere. To do so, call or WhatsApp 07984 529101. We will reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website only uses cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary for it to work, such as remembering your booking details while you complete the form. Our payment provider, Stripe, may set its own cookies to prevent fraud.
